Beware of Antichrists

One of my colleagues was recently approached by a member of a Satanist group to join them. He shared with us how good they are at convincing people towards their cause by misinterpreting Bible verses. He got confused for sometime when he first encountered them. It lead me to further dig into the matter.

What do we mean by Anti-Christ? What the Holy Bible says about it?
In the first and second epistles of St. John we find the mention of the term ‘Antichrist’. St. John warns us about the coming of the Antichrists: Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.” (1 John 2:18).

Then he explains what he means by ‘Antichrist’,

22 Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist — he denies the Father and the Son.

He further told us how to differentiate between the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Evil, This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. (1 John 4:2-3).

In his second epistle to the Thessalonians, St. Paul has indicated ‘The Man of Sin’ will come at the Final hours and establish himself with false miracles and their followers will shout the fake news, ‘Almighty God has arrived’! We should not be swayed by such incidents and keep our trust in the only true God.

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers. . . don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. . . whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-8).

Lord Jesus Christ has also talked about false Christs in the Gospel,

‘For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible even to elect’ (Matthew 24:24, Mark 13:22).

Finally, note how the prophecy describes a great religious leader of the end time: “He had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon” (Revelation 13:11). That is to say, he takes on the image of (or imitates) Jesus Christ (the Lamb of God), but is empowered by Satan.

Antichrists in India

The incidents of Satan worshipping have increased tremendously in the past few years. We have heard news of genocide from Kochi district of Kerala. Also, states like Maharashtra, Pune, Goa and Nagaland are worst affected. According to Vatican’s Fide news agency more than 3,000 young ‘worshippers of Satan’ have been identified in Nagaland’s Capital Kohima alone. They are using social networks to spread their ideology and expand their network. In Kohima, there is a group called ‘Black Bulls’ who are brainwashing the youths. They have their own dress code of Black T-shirt with the mark of the beast, tattoos and black eyeliners. Their main target are the youths between the age group of 17 to 25. As we know, In India we have a tendency among the youngsters to blindly follow the western culture, it leads them to reject God and worship evil.

In Kerala, they celebrate Black Mass on the 13th of every month. According to the local Priests at Kochi, on that day they drink wine out of human skull, perform sexual activities, urinate on the communion bread and recite verses from the “Bible of Satan”. Journalist Rajeev Sivshankar who has written a book on this issue named ‘Thamovedam’ said in an interview that the Satan Worshippers have already established churches in Seven out of fourteen districts in Kerala. The service is conducted mostly in isolated houses, apartments and hostel rooms. He also shared how Satan worshippers attract the people by making false claims that if they participate in the Black Mass, all their problems will go away and riches will come.
Truly speaking, these facts have made me flabbergasted. I would like to appeal to everyone please be more careful and reject every organization and group that does not preach Jesus as the Son of the living God as John said in his first epistle. Don’t be afraid, we are children of the Living God who is more powerful than any evil force. He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit as our personal guide; ask for guidance from the God. He will surely help us.
